Scope: Development of bespoke apartments and penthouses including dual-aspect wraparound balconies.

Adhesive requirements: Whilst the apartments are constructed in traditional brick work, the balconies were of reinforced concrete design. These required matching brick slips to be bonded directly to the concrete in a finish consistent with the apartments. Sections of the balcony were removed and sent over to Structural Adhesives Ltd where tests were carried out to establish the best adhesive system and practice for surface preparation.

S-2625E was selected as ideal for direct bonding once the concrete was correctly prepared as necessary. S-2625E has been tested by Lucideon Limited, who approved the product for both bond strength and simulated weathering.
